When there’s a fire, people are afraid and tend to panic. Unfortunately, this means that they are not able to think clearly or perform complicated actions. With the EVACUATOR®, this is not necessary. The underlying idea is simple, and its execution is even simpler. The robust steel housing contains multiple reels equipped with steel cables. Each cable allows multiple persons to descend at the same time, provided their combined weight does not exceed 282 Kg per cable. The total Max. descent load on the system is 564 Kg. (Max. descent load per escape-hook 282 Kg).

FIREPROOF

The Evacuator® escape descent system is fire-proof up to 1.200 °C, 60-90 minutes.

PANIC PROOF

In stressful panic-situations you ONLY need to go to the emergency exit. Everything you need for a safe descent is already pre-installed and fixed there where you need it, including additional safety harnesses (and/or optional: survival suits).

COLLECTIVE ESCAPE

With 1 Evacuator® multiple persons can descent at the same time. 2 escape-hooks can be used at the same time with a Max. load of 282 Kg per escape hook. The Max. descent load on the system is 564 Kg.

NO ELECTRICITY

The Evacuator® escape descent system works fully automatic and does not require electricity.

INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE FRIENDLY, CAN BE DONE BY YOUR TECHNICIANS

MULTIPLE ESCAPE ROUTES POSSIBLE

Multiple escape routes ensure safe and efficient escape from any part of the turbine. Personnel can exit through the hub hatches, nacelle roof or floor hatches, or via the heli-hoisting deck. This provides maximum flexibility and safety, ensuring that a safe escape option is always within reach.

PRE-INSTALLED IN WINDTURBINES

The Evacuator® escape descent system will be permanently installed on a central location somewhere inside the nacelle and its steel cables will already be permanently fixed at the emergency exits, or the complete system will be permanently installed outside on top of the turbine in a weatherproof storage box which is typhoon proof!

EDUCATION / TRAINING

The Evacuator® escape descent system does not require any special training but training models are available for educational purposes and multiple descent experiences.
